What does GameTime cost an organizer?

Accepted Answer

Nothing. There is no setup fee, no per-player fee and no subscription. GameTime does not process tournament entry payments, so there is no cut to take. Facilities using bookings and memberships pay 2.5% of what clears through their own Stripe account.

Does it collect my entry fees?

Accepted Answer

No. You keep collecting entry fees the way you do now, by Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, your own Stripe link or at the door, and players confirm with a code at registration. If your main problem is the checkout itself, GameTime is the wrong tool today and I will say so.

Question 3

How do results get to DUPR?

Accepted Answer

Every scored match lands in a submission queue. You set an auto-approve rule once, or approve in bulk, and the queue submits to DUPR, retries failures and can revoke a mistake. Results are submitted only for players who registered for that event with a DUPR ID, so ask for it at registration.

Question 4

Can I move an event from PickleballTournaments.com?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Paste the public link and GameTime reads the listing into a draft: divisions, skill and age bands, venue, dates, format and photos. You review it before anything is saved.

Question 5

Is GameTime approved for USA Pickleball sanctioned events?

Accepted Answer

No. USA Pickleball lists six approved sanctioning software providers and GameTime is not one of them. A sanctioned event needs one of those six. Everything else, including DUPR-rated events, runs here.

Question 6

Does it work if the venue wifi drops?

Accepted Answer

No. GameTime needs an internet connection at the kiosk and the desk. The launch package includes a paper fallback sheet generated from your schedule, and I will tell you before the day if I think your venue is a risk.

What is the guarantee?

Accepted Answer

A score entered at the kiosk is on the public board within 60 seconds, and every approved match is in your DUPR submission queue the moment it is approved. If either fails during your event, I file your DUPR results by hand within 24 hours and export every registration, schedule and result so you can leave with everything. There is no fee to refund and no term to exit.

How many events has GameTime actually run?

Five tournaments have been completed on GameTime; four of them were run by me, my family, or my own other project. This is a young product built by one engineer, which is exactly why the first ten Houston organizers get me on call for their event.

Question 9

What happens after I send the form?

Accepted Answer

I reply within one business day with two or three questions, build the event within 48 hours of having your answers, walk you through it on a screen share, and agree the run-of-day plan with you before the event.

Your tournament runs the whole day. Results go to DUPR from the scoring screen.
